Cyber criminal held in Rajgangpur

Rajgangpur: A cyber criminal, accused of hacking bank account of a retired teacher, was nabbed by Rajgangpur police in Sundergarh district today. Passbooks of various banks along with different mobile phones were seized from his possession.

During interrogation, the accused Prakash Kumar told police about the mastermind behind the crime. Police conducted a raid on the mastermind’s house, but he was able to flee from the spot leaving behind Rs 74,000.

Earlier on July 22, Kumar had very cleverly extracted the bank account details of a retired teacher in Rajgangpur through a phone call and had transferred Rs 1.23 lakh from the latter's account to his account.

Police had launched its investigation after receiving a formal complaint from the teacher.
