Cuttack: GRP Constable Pratap Chandra Pradhan, who had allegedly refused to provide a prepaid auto-rickshaw for transferring ailing doctor MS Ojha to hospital leading to his death, has been transferred to the Railway SP office.
On January 3, Ojha who was a homeopathy doctor in Cutttak suddenly fell ill and sought medical assistance by asking his wife Rajashree Mishra to arrange a carriage to the hospital. Rajashree, called up ambulance service to shift her husband to the medical, but to no avail.
Later, Rajashree sought the help of prepaid taxi service. However, due to lack of money, she was denied a taxi by the constable. The constable reportedly didn’t help even after Rajashree offered her gold bangles in exchange.
The delay had led to the death of Ojha.
