Cuttack: BJP members protest ragging in colleges

Cuttack: Aiming to turn educational institutions of Cuttack into ragging free environment, State BJP staged demonstration at various college campuses highlighting the issue here on Tuesday.

Many colleges including Emarti Devi Women's College, Sailabala Women's College and Indira Gandhi Women's College witnessed picketing by the State BJP members.

“Institutions campuses are a part of the society and ragging is a social evil. We are happy and proud that we all have stood united for a cause that is anti-ragging. Children studying should be provided a peaceful environment for education,” said State BJP Member, Biswajit Mohanty.

Demands for making institutions a ragging free zone and stern actions against the culprits, were raised by party workers.

Meanwhile, party members staged road blocked by burning fire at Chandi Chhak of the town as a mark of protest.
