Bhadrak: The situation in Bhadrak town is improving as a result of which the curfew has been relaxed for four hours for the second consecutive day today since April 6. Normal business can be conducted in the town from morning 8 am till 12 noon.

Administration has informed that while banks and Aahar centres will remain open in the town during the curfew relaxation period, all the educational institutions in the town will remain closed.

However security forces are still keeping tight vigil in the town, to check any untoward incident, in view of the prevailing tension. Two companies of Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) and two companies of Rapid Action Force (RAF) are deployed here along with 35 platoons of Odisha Police.

The forces are taking stringent action against persons breaking the discipline. While the administration has imposed restrictions on use of social media in Bhadrak, the Inspector-In-Charge of Town Police Station, Jadunath Jena, has also been transferred.

It may be mentioned that, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has apprised Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh about the Bhadrak situation during the Inter-State Council Meet in New Delhi.
