Bhubaneswar: Odisha government will soon install Computed Tomography (CT) scan machines in all district headquarters hospitals (DHHs) on PPP mode. The decision was taken at a review meeting of the Health department chaired by CM Naveen Patnaik here today.

The CM reviewed the implementation of Niramaya Yojana and the steps taken to prevent water borne diseases. He laid emphasis on providing adequate medicines to the beneficiaries under the scheme.

According to sources, Patnaik raised concerns over the incidence of malaria in the Bonda Ghat areas in Malkangiri and directed the concerned authorities to take steps to rein in the disease.

Health department officials informed the CM that necessary medicines along with doctor teams are being sent to the area.

With the onset of rainy season, Patnaik also asked officials to take up awareness drives to prevent diseases like diarrhea and dengue.
