Criminal injured in encounter

Berhampur: A notorious criminal was injured in an encounter by police at Badamahari road near Kabisuryanagar at around 2.30 am today.

The criminal, identified as Dillip Nayak of Baliasira village in the district, sustained bullet injuries on his left leg. He has been admitted to MKCG medical college and hospital here for treatment.

A mouser and three live bullets were seized from him, police said.At least eight cases are pending against him at different police stations in the State, police added.
