Bhubaneswar: A team of Crime Branch (CB) will soon visit Chennai, where the scion of the Parala royal family Gopinath Gajapati is undergoing treatment at a private hospital, to question him in an effort to join the dots in solving the Parala palace puzzle, CB sources said today.

Earlier in the day, the erstwhile Parala king's daughter Kalayani Debi was quizzed by the SIT of the Crime Branch. She told them Gopinath Gajapti was not under house arrest, the sources added.

In a related development, the Crime Branch found very little money in the bank accounts of the family members of Ananga Manjari, manager of the Parala palace, during examination. The SIT team of the investigating agency also visited the house of Ananga Manjari at Jangamasahi in Paralakhemundi.

Amulya Patra, brother of Ananga Manjari, was also called by the sleuths for questioning. Besides, handwriting samples were collected by the agency.

Persons whose names have been mentioned in the suicide note of Ananga Manjri will also be questioned, CB sources said.
