Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today emphasised on the need for better rapport of police with the public while addressing at the ninth raising day function of the Twin City Police Commissionerate in Bhubaneswar.

After the special programme at the OSAP 7th Battalion Ground here, Patnaik said, “I congratulate the Twin City Police Commissionerate on the Raising Day occasion and thank policemen and policewomen who have performed their duties successfully.”

DGP KB Singh, who was a guest at the function, stated “The Commissionerate Police have come up to the expectation of people. The police will keep on improving themselves and provide better security. The twin city police will ensure better security for the denizens.”

Mentioning on the need for recruitment of more personnel in the Commissionerate Police, YB Khurania, Police Commissioner, said, “In 2017, the twin city cops will work in a better way and win the faith of people. New initiatives will be launched in the year and advanced professional skill will be acquired.”

Some police officers were awarded for their excellent work followed by a lively parade at the function.
