Contractor hacked to death with swords in Ganjam

Ganjam: In a gruesome murder, a man was hacked to death by unidentified miscreants today at Nuagaoun village under Kabisuryanagar police limits of Ganjam district.

The deceased has been identified as Pitabas Mallick, a contractor.

As per sources, Mallick was on his way home when a group of miscreants attacked him with swords killing him on the spot. Miscreants fled the spot immediately, informed sources.

Though the exact reason behind the murder is yet to be ascertained, it is suspected that an altercation at a village meeting could be the trigger.
