Constable out for a morning walk hit by a truck, dies

Bolangir: Tension prevailed after a constable died in a road mishap near Gandhinagar area in Bolangir district on Sunday.

The deceased identified as Mrutyunjay Kuanr was posted at Belgaon outpost under Saintala police limits.

The incident occurred when Mrutyunjay, who was out on a morning walk, was hit by a speeding truck. He died on the spot.

Following the freak road mishap, the speeding truck fled from the spot while efforts are on to nab the accused driver, sources said.
