Bhubaneswar: Alleging deteriorating health service in State, the Congress will stage peaceful dharna in front of all Primary and Community health centres across the State today.

The party had decided to hold peaceful protest in its executive body meeting held on September 9. The protest meeting will not affect the ambulance service and health care in the hospitals, Congress sources said.
The grand old party will make subject malnutrition death, Dana Majhi issue, malaria in Koraput and shortage of doctors.

"The health service in State is in deteriorating condition. Doctor posts are lying vacant in almost all hospital across the State. But, Odisha government is yet to wake up from its slumber", Congress spokesperson Sarat Rout said.

However, BJD said the protest of the Opposition party is to retain its own identification. "Prime Minister has recently admitted staff crunch in government hospitals. In order to meet the necessity, the State government has taken step for setting up of seven medical colleges, whose construction work is in progress. At this time, Congress doing whatever is to retain its own identification", BJD spokesperson Sameer Das said.
