Congress stalwart KP Singh Deo rejects invitation to join BJP

Bhubaneswar: Senior Congress leader KP Singh Deo, on Monday, rejected the invitation of Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan to join BJP stating that he is a loyal leader of the oldest party in the country.

Speaking at the inaugural function of Vigilance Court at Dhenkanal district on August 7, the petroleum minister said it would be a blessing if Singh Deo joins BJP.

On being asked by newsmen about the open invitation of Pradhan, Singh Deo said he is not responsible for what people dream about him.

"Loyalty, loyalty and loyalty is what I know. I am a loyal worker of the Congress and I have never thought of joining any other party," said Singh Deo, adding, he would have thought of joining any other party had the party ditched him.
