Congress alleges Puri MLA’s involvement in Swargadwar land grab row

Bhubaneswar: Puri MLA Maheswar Mohanty is the mastermind behind the Swargadwar land grab row alleged Youth Congress Executive President Lokanath in a Press meet today. He said that encroachment of Swargadwar and many illegal activities were performed during Mohanty’s term as the Chairman of Puri Municipality.

Lokanath warned that if action regarding the issue is not taken within two days, the Youth Congress will go on a State-wide agitation.

Addressing the media, he said, “The encroachment should be removed immediately and stringent action should be taken against the persons involved in it and they should not get any compensation.”

Similarly Odisha Pradesh Congress Committee (OPCC) President Prasad Harichandan said, “Land of Lord Jagannath has also been encroached outside and government land has been encroached in Puri, starting from Atharnala till Swargadwar,”

Harichandan demanded that the encroachments at Swargadwar be removed immediately.
