Bhubaneswar: Demanding Rs 12 lakh compensation for the family members of the babies, who lost their lives due to Japanese Encephalitis (JE) in Malkangiri district, Congress will stage a road blockade at all district headquarters tomorrow.

Informing this to media, Odisha Pradesh Congress Committee (OPCC) vice president, who is on a dharna since last five days, said, “While the government is giving a compensation of Rs 12 lakh for accidental deaths in Bhubaneswar, it has just announced an exgratia of Rs 3 lakh for the JE victims.”

“No one is satisfied with the compensation amount declared by the government. Protesting the announcement, we will stage road blockade at all district headquarters across the state,” Majhi added.

We will also hit the roads in all district headquarters for two hours tomorrow demanding filling up of 55 vacant post of doctors in Malkangiri district.
