Keonjhar: A four-member team of the Congress headed by leader of Opposition Narasingha Mishra on Wednesday visited the dengue-affected Barbil area and took stock of the situation there.

According to sources, the Congress team, which includes leaders like Niranjan Patnaik, Ananta Sethi and Prafulla Majhi, visited different wards of the town and met patients undergoing treatment at the hospitals.

Besides, the team also met and held discussion with the family members of the deceased who lost their lives due to the vector-borne disease, the sources added.

After reviewing the situation, Mishra said, “The dengue situation in the city is really alarming.”

Later in the day, the four-member team is scheduled to meet the district collector and hold a presser in Keonjhar.
