Bhubaneswar: The war of words over the repair work of Jagmohan is getting shriller by the day with the Congress using the opportunity to train its guns on both the BJP-led central government and the BJD government in the state.
While the Leader of Opposition Narasingha Mishra is scheduled to visit the temple today, Odisha Pradesh Congress Committee (OPCC) president Prasad Harichandan on Wednesday criticised both the central and state governments for delaying the repair work of the Jagmohan.
Lambasting the governments Prasad said, “The repair work of the Jagmohan has been put on a hold just for Rs 2.5 crore. This is really unfortunate for the people of the state.”
“The state government should call an all-party meeting and chalk out a plan for the permanent solution of the issue,” Harichandan added.
Talking to newsmen at a presser, the Congress leader said, “Our party will launch ‘Green Odisha’ drive on May 21 under which party workers will plant as many as 5 lakh trees in the state.”
“Besides, the members of the party will stage protest against the government at every block across the state on June 10,” he informed.
