New Delhi/Bhubaneswar: Union Human Resource Development minister Prakash Javadekar has asked students to focus on the work for which they joined college in a welcome letter to the freshers who have entered higher education institutions this year.

He even said the students should realise it is the hard earned money of taxpayers, especially the poor, that covers their cost of education. When the students continue their study at a minimal amount, they should remember who have contributed for their education and should be responsible for the development of the latter after passing out of the institution.

"I earnestly urge to focus on the work for which you came here, so that when you leave this institution, you will go with knowledge and satisfaction,” stated Javadekar in the letter.

The HRD minister has also given out details of his website and social media sites so that the students engage with the ministry and take up issues with him.
