College Girl Accuses Nabarangpur Reserve Police SPO of Sexual Assault

Nabarangpur: In a shocking incident, a college girl has accused a Special Police Officer (SPO) working in District Reserve Police office here of sexually harassing her on the pretext of marriage.

As per the complaint filed by the victim, the said SPO identified as Thabir Majhi, had been in relationship with her for the last five years. Majhi had developed physical relationship on promise of marrying her however things turn bitter after she conceived.

“He is now denying to marry me. I must get justice,” the girl told media persons.

While the the accused Majhi was unavailable for comments, the police have promised to investigate and provide justice to the aggrieved girl.

“It’s just an allegation put forward by the girl. A case will be first registered as per her accusations. And police will take the necessary legal actions only after the outcome of the initial investigation,” District Superintendent of Police Sudhansu Sekhar Mishra said.
