Cold wave rattles Odisha; Phulbani at 7.6 deg Celsius

Bhubaneswar: Life has been thrown out of gear in most parts of Odisha due to intense cold wave sweeping the State. People are mostly seen huddling around fire with warm clothes put on.

Mercury at many places except the coastal parts of the State is hovering near 10 degree Celsius.

People going for work and school-goers are facing difficulties to reach their destination due to the cold wave.

Yesterday, Phulbani of Kandhamal district recorded minimum temperature at 7.6 degree Celsius while Daringbadi was at 10 degree Celsius.

Bhawanipatna, Hirakud, Koraput, Sambalpur, Angul and Sundargarh also shivered due to dip in mercury.
