Co-op society president held for taking bribe

Boudh: Vigilance officials on Wednesday arrested Sankulei co-operative society president Antaryami Chaulia for allegedly demanding and receiving bribe of Rs 50,000 from a staff to revoke his suspension.

According to sources, Chaulia had demanded Rs 50,000 from the suspended secretary Sanjay Kumar Baigharia to revoke his suspension order.

On being informed about the allegation, Ganjam vigilance sleuths conducted a raid and arrested Chaulia. They also recovered the bribe money from him, the sources added.
