Bhubaneswar: After its reconstitution, the Biju Chhatra Janata Dal (BCJD) organised its first state executive meeting and training camp here today. The message from the ruling BJD was loud and clear that the party now wants to focus on ‘Generation Next’ by addressing their problems in State.

While addressing the executive meet of BCJD, Chief Minister and party Supremo Naveen Patnaik highlighted the developmental activities initiated by his Government for the youth. He urged the youth wing to respect the motherland and work together for strengthening the party.

Stressing on major developmental activities of the party, Patnaik said, “The State Government is going to create more employment opportunities for Odia youth. On the basis of State youth policy, 3 lakh youth were imparted training for self-employment.”

“Odisha being an educational hub in Eastern India, we have a target to train 18 lakh youths across the state to ensure job opportunities for them,” he added.

The meeting included discussion of political, organisational and financial functioning of the party in the state to finalise the future course of action for BCJD.

Use of social media and countering negative campaigning, solving student problems and development of college and universities infrastructure were also discussed.

Besides Ministers, MPs and MLAs, BCJD advisors and all district presidents and secretaries of the party and other workers attended the meeting.
