Bhubaneswar: Good news for Islam followers who have a dream to go on Haj pilgrimage as the state government has decided to set up a Haj House for the welfare of pilgrims.

Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today announced setting up the Haj House in the city very soon. Land for the purpose has been identified at Pokhariput area and very soon construction will begin.

Stating that his government is committed for welfare of people belonging to minority communities during a felicitation ceremony for Haj pilgrims from the State today, the CM said 100 other multipurpose community centres will also be set up for the benefit of the minority community.

Besides, the government is also mulling over establishing direct plane communication between Bhubaneswar and Mecca for the welfare of pilgrims, he said.
