Bhubaneswar: After BJD's thumping victory in the by-election, party president and Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik will visit the Bijepur Assembly constituency on March 12.

Informing media about the visit, Bijepur MLA Rita Sahu said that Naveen decided to visit the constituency to thank the people for their support.

"The CM will also discuss about different developmental works required to be taken up in the constituency," the newly-elected MLA said.

Meanwhile, BJP spokesperson Sajjan Sharma said, "Water is the biggest problem the people of Bijepur have been facing. The CM must first work in this regard instead of indulging in false propaganda."

Similarly, Congress slammed the CM with party's senior leader Sarat Rout alleging that the BJD hijacked the Bijepur bypoll and such things should never happen in the state again.
