Cuttack: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today inaugurated the 'Odisha Skills 2018', the State-level skills competition organised by the Odisha government, at the Jawaharlal Nehru Indoor Stadium in Cuttack.

The first-of-its-kind skills competition will provide students and trainees with a platform to showcase their talent and prove their merit on a bigger stage, said Patnaik during an address at the inaugural ceremony.

As many as 200 students from different districts, in 25 trades, will participate in the two-day skills competition which will be held at the IDCO Exhibition Ground in Bhubaneswar from April 29.

The Chief Minister also announced a cash prize of Rs 1 lakh for gold medalist, Rs 75,000 for silver medalist and Rs 50,000 for bronze medalist at the national level skill competition from the State.
