Phulbani: Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik inaugurated projects worth around Rs 60 crore and also laid the foundation stone of various other developmental initiatives during his 1-day visit to Kandhamal district.

The CM visited the district headquarters town Phulbani and then Baliguda areas in the district where he inaugurated the projects. Patnaik also addressed a public gathering in Phulbani.

“I am delighted to be in Kandhamal district today for a number of welfare schemes and development projects for the local people,” he said.

Minister Bikram Keshari Arukh, Kandhamal MP Pratyusha Rajeswari Singh, Phulbani MLA Duguni Kanhar and district collector Raghu G amongst others were present with the CM.

Patnaik after concluding his tour of Phulbani also visited Daringibadi.

Meanwhile, both Congress and BJP activists protested CM’s visit. According to sources, 4 Congress activists were detained by police in Daringibadi.
