Bhubaneswar: Hundreds of people across the State on Monday reached the CM’s grievance cell with the hope that they could meet Naveen and put forth their grievances. However, their hope soon turned to a story of despair as the CM did not turn up at the cell.

Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has not attended the CM’s grievance cell since 2008, but recently people had a glimmer of hope after news of his turning up at the cell hit headlines.

I was getting 5 kg of rice per month but since past three months, it has stopped. Now, they are telling me to give my fingerprints to avail the benefit under the scheme but no one is listening to me or helping me out in doing so

"Even after running from pillar to post, no one is hearing my problem. I had requested the city mayor Ananta Narayan Jena to help me out but nothing happened. I have come here to put forth my grievance to the CM, said Kamini Khatua expecting that Naveen would listen to her.

Earlier in the day today, a serpentine queue was seen in front of the chief minister's Cell which was reopened after being closed due to excess heat wave condition in the State.
