Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Wednesday attended the Ekadasaha (11th day rituals) function of former Rajya Sabha MP Pyarimohan Mohapatra held at the Rashtra Bhasa Prachar Samiti ground here and offered tribute to the departed soul.

According to sources, Naveen offered flowers on the photo of his one-time advisor and met Pyari's family members.

“I came to pay my condolences at this function to Pyari babu,” said Patnaik.

Besides, several other BJD leaders, senior bureaucrats, leaders of other political parties and people from different walks of life also attended the Ekadasaha and paid tribute to Mohapatra.

Notably, former Rajya Sabha MP and the Chanakya of Odisha politics breathed his last at Hinduja Hospital in Mumbai on March 19 following a prolonged illness.
