Class X student murdered over Rs 7,000

Nuapada: A class X student, Baibhav Saraf was brutally murdered on March 30 after he failed to repay Rs 7,000 which he had borrowed from two persons, Nuapada police revealed today.

According to sources, two persons including a juvenile have been accused of executing the gruesome murder. One of the accused has been identified as Manoranjan Saraf from whom deceased Baibhav had borrowed the money.

Senior police officials informed that Baibhav, son of a businessman was abducted and beaten to death by the two miscreants. In a bid to destroy evidence, the accused had also set Bhaibhav’s body on fire by pouring petrol.

The accused in their bid to mislead the investigation had also made a ransom call to the family from Baibhav's mobile phone and demanded Rs 30 lakh, informed Nuapada SP, S Parmar.
