Class x girl dies, 3 others hurt

Berhampur: A Class X girl student died and three others sustained injuries when a tractor run over them at Bada Borsingi village under Odisha's Ganjam district, police said.

The incident took place at a place under Gangapur police station limit about 70-km from here.

The deceased was identified as Sibani Pradhan, 15 of the same village. She along with other students were returning home after tuition when the mishap took place, said inspector in charge Gangapur police station ChittaRanjan Behera.

The injured students were admitted at the sub- divisional hospital at Bhanjanagara. The condition of two of them are stated to be serious he said.

Tension prevailed in he village following the incident as villagers staged road blockade.
