Class IX student hit by truck, dies

Ganjam: In an unfortunate incident, a student of Class IX died after being hit by a speeding truck near Champeitapur village under Kabisuryanagar police limits in Ganjam district Friday morning.

The deceased boy, Rudra Pallai, has been identified to be a student of nearby High School.

The incident occurred while the boy was riding a bicycle on way to school this morning when suddenly a truck hit him killing him on the spot.

Following the accident, palpable tension erupted as locals gathered at the spot until Kabisuryanagar police rushed to control the situation.
