Class 9 girl student raped by youth in Nayagarh

Nayagarh: A class IX girl student was allegedly raped by a youth in a village in Nayagarh district on Thursday. According to the complaint, the accused identified as Duryodhan Das had called the minor girl to his residence where he raped her.

While Duryodhan is absconding, police have carried out the medical examination of the survivor, informed sources.

Meanwhile, in the Salepur rape and murder case, IG (Central Range) Soumendra Priyadarshi, Rural Superintendent of Police, Salepur SDPO and a scientific team reached the victim’s village for investigation today. Yesterday, the prime accused held in this case had attempted suicide by hanging himself using a towel inside the toilet of Salepur jail.
