CISCE results out: 96.47 pass percentage for Class 12

Bhubaneswar/ New Delhi: The results of the Indian Certificate for Secondary Education (ICSE) Class 10 and ISC Class 12 2017 examination were  declared by the Council for Indian School Certificate Examination (CISCE) at 3 pm on Monday. The results are now available on the official website cisce.org.

According to reports, the overall pass percentage of Class 12 has seen a marginal increase of from 96.46% last year to 96.47% this year.

Muskan Abdulla Pathan from Hutchings High School, Pune and Ashwin Rao from St Paul’s English School, Bangalore were declared as joint toppers of ICSE (10th) Board exam with 99.4 percent.

Ananya Maiti of the The Heritage School, Kolkata was declared as the topper of ISC (12th) Boards stream with 99.50%. She was from Humanities stream.

The students can access their ICSE Class 10 results 2017 and ISC Class 12 results 2017  from the official websites besides examresults.net. Nearly 2,50,871 candidates – 1,76,327 for ICSE and 74,544 for ISC – had registered for the exams this year.

According to information gathered from News18, in a first of its kind attempt, the ICSE Council has offered DigiLocker facility to its affiliated schools to store digitally signed certificates and marksheets. This enables the schools and other stakeholders to  download or share online. “The Council from now onwards in addition to providing hard copies of certificates to the candidates of ICSE and ISC examinations, shall also make available digitally signed copies of the statement of marks and pass certificates through DigiLocker,” said Gerry Arathoon, Chief Executive and Secretary of CICSE to News18.

The CICSE has also made a provision for candidates to apply for rechecking of marks.

Around 1,68,591 students appeared for ICSE examination last year. The overall pass percentage was 98.64%. The pass percentage for boys who appeared for ICSE 10th Board exam 2016 was 97.03% while for girls, it was 99.13%.
