Chit fund scam: Surat investors protest in front of Odisha Bhavan in Delhi

New Delhi: Investors from Surat in Gujarat, who have been a victim of fraud by Odisha-based chit fund companies like Oscar, Green India and Micro Finance, staged a demonstration in front of Odisha Bhavan in New Delhi, demanding return of their invested money.

The agitating investors are demanding the central government to intervene in the matter and confiscate the properties of the chit fund companies for refund to investors.

According to sources, the investors, under the banner Pravasi Odia Chit Fund Khyatigrashta Mahasangh, will also will also meet various Union ministers in this regard, informed sources.

Duped investors from Maharashta and other states are also likely to join the agitation, said association sources.
