Chit fund scam: MLA Prabhat Biswal’s wife fails to appear before CBI

Bhubaneswar: MLA Prabhat Biswal’s wife Bilasini Biswal failed to appear before the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) today after being summoned by the central investigating agency in connection with multi-crore Seashore chit fund scam.

According to sources, Bilasini sent her representative instead to appear on her behalf who submitted certain documents to CBI.

On Saturday, CBI had asked Bilasini along with senior BJD leader and Balasore MP Rabindra Jena to appear before it in connection with multi-crore Seashore chit fund scam.

Bilasini was given two days’ time to appear before the investigating agency.
