Berhampur: Posters alleging BJP spokesperson Golak Mohapatra’s involvement in the Chhatrapur councillor Laxmidutta Pradhan murder case were put up at various places in Berhampur today.

The posters put up by 'Ganjam Zilla Buddhijibi Manch,’ as mentioned in the posters, have urged the people of Ganjam to not allow Mohapatra’s entry in the district and have also sought immediate arrest of the leader.

"I will hold the BJD responsible for it. While BJP had extended full support in the probe, the BJD is trying to divert the probe. BJD is trying to confuse people by bringing false allegations in name of others," said president of Ganjam unit of BJP Kanhu Charan Pati.

"If intellectuals have formed an association it must have a president and other office bearers. The posters should have carried their names. By stating it as forum of intellectuals, they are misleading the public," said an intellectual Basant Kumar Patnaik.

"The probe is underway as per law without any bias so there is no reason for BJP to fear. The poster will not impact the probe process; we are openly demanding a fair probe," said Berhampur BJD MLA Ramesh Chandra Chaau Patnaik.

Earlier on November 1, Chhatrapur SDPO and Ganjam Additional SP had quizzed the BJP spokesperson in presence of two lawyers, on his alleged links with one of the key accused Krushna, who has been arrested in the councillor murder case.
