Chhatra Cong activists detained while trying to barge into Naveen Nivas

Bhubaneswar: Demanding a CBI probe into the Rishi death case, members of Chhatra Congress led by Itish Pradhan today staged a demonstration in front of the Naveen Nivas here and attempted to barge into the Chief Minister’s residence.

The gatecrash bid by Congress students' wing led  by Itish into the Naveen Nivas was foiled by police personnel present at the spot. Later Itish and three others were detained by the cops.

Itish, the Chhatra Congress president, said, “This demonstration is just a beginning on the occasion of Rishi’s birthday today. But, on May 25, a large of number of students would gherao the Naveen Nivas.”

The Odisha Congress has been alleging that Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) Mayor Anant Narayan Jena's involvement in the Rishi death case.
