Berhampur: In a major jolt to Congress, former Union minister Chandrasekhar Sahu and three senior leaders resigned from the party accusing growing indiscipline within the party.

Sahu sent his resignation to the All India Congress Committee (AICC) chief and Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) President yesterday.

Alleging that the high command is acting indifferent to the indiscipline existing within the party, Sahu rued that his expertise and efficiency remained underutilised.

Besides, the party's district president Bhagwan Gantayat , Berhampur Nagar President Sanjit Panigrahi and senior leader Bikram Panda resigned from the party yesterday. The party leaders have informed that they would join BJD during CM Naveen Patnaik's visit to Berhampur on April 4.
