Bhubaneswar: With power generation breaking down in four units of National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC)’s Super Thermal Power Station (STPS) at Kahalgaon and five units at Farakka in West Bengal, there will be a six-and-half-hour power cut in two phases in Odisha on Tuesday.

According to reports, the timing of power cut will be from 6 AM to 9.30 AM and from 3 PM to 6 PM.

However, there would be no power cut in Cuttack, Bhubaneswar and Puri.

“We are forced to go for a power-cut for six-and-half-hours in Odisha on Tiesday due to power breakdown in four units of NTPC Super Thermal Power Station (STPS) at Kahalgaon and five units of NTPC STPS at Farakka in West Bengal”, said PK Padhi, General Manager, CESU.
