Bhadrak: In a shocking revelation, a close circuit television (CCTV) camera footage showed that the perpetrators of violence in the strife-torn town were also involved in robbery and loot during the unrest.

A footage, which is in possession of OTV, shows a clear picture of agitators robbing a mobile phone shop. The incident has been recorded at 5:38 PM on April 7, which showed the entry of some youths into the mobile shop – Jagannath Communication, located at Apartibindha.

Realising the presence of CCTV camera, the youths also snapped the wire of the device and set it ablaze after looting the store.

“Some people carrying weapons came towards our shop. We ran away from the shop and when we returned after 15 minutes we saw it was burning. The mob had looted my shop and from the CCTV footage I have identified the people and have handed over the visuals to the police,” said shop owner Sarat Parida.
