Bhubaneswar: Hours after the High Court rapped CBSE over alleged discrepancies in publication of Class XII results, the board on Tuesday formed special committees to conduct fresh scrutiny of answer copies.

As per reports, the CBSE has decided to form two committees to find out if there have been any irregularities in the evaluation of answer sheets of students who had appeared Class X and XII board examinations this year.

Earlier today, the Orissa High Court had filed a sou motu contempt of court case against CBSE Joint Secretary (Academics) Manoj Srivastav in connection with the alleged discrepancies in publication of Class XII results in Bhubaneswar zone.

The court has directed the official to reply by July 3.

The court has also asked the CBSE to deposit answer sheets of 18 students who had moved the court seeking re-evaluation by tomorrow.

In another development, Parents Association which has been fighting for students’ right and against irregularities in evaluation of answer copies, will meet Union Minister Prakash Javadekar on the issue on June 22.
