Bhubaneswar/New Delhi: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has finally revealed that  Class 10, 12 board examinations will begin in March 2018. It put an end to the speculations about the board examinations beginning in February.

The officials notification is a sigh of relief for the students as they will get some extra days for the board exam preparations. Previous year, CBSE board examination has started on  March 9 and its date sheet was announced on  January 9, 2017.

In an official notification by CBSE released on 18 December 2017, it has confirmed about commencement of AISSE and AISSCE exam in March 2018.

Meanwhile, the CBSE has asked the affiliated schools to upload the data of teachers before 5 January 2018 on the examination portal of the Board. Regular teachers will be selected from the uploaded list for evaluation of answer sheets of secondary and senior secondary school certificate exam 2018.

According to latest notification, CBSE will conduct the practical exams for AISSE and AISSCE in January 2018.

The CBSE had earlier proposed a plan to commence exams prior to the usual month of March to enhance the quality of assessment of answer sheets and finish the process on time.

A rumour that the CBSE is likely to conduct the board examination 2018 in February, instead of March had stirred panic among students.

But finally brushing aside the reports of an early exam, CBSE officially confirmed the board examination for class 10 and 12 for the year 2018 will start in March.
