New Delhi: A day after the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) decided to re-conduct examinations for Mathematics (Class X) and Economics (Class XII), Union Human Resource Development (HRD) Minister Prakash Javadekar today said dates for fresh examination will be announced either on Monday or Tuesday.

Javadekar told mediapersons, "This is a very unfortunate development. I understand the pain of the parents and students have to go through. Whoever is involved in the paper leak will not be spared, police will soon arrest the culprits."

He added, " I also could not sleep as I am also a parent."

On the other hand, Delhi School Association president Ramesh Chand Jain said, "The government should put culprits behind the bars. First step they should take is set the system right."

Jain asked why the CBSE chairman hasn't spoken to students and parents yet on paper leak charges.

Meanwhile, the Delhi police has detained a 40-year-old man on suspicion of his involvement in CBSE paper leak.

The arrested man has been identified as Vicky is owner of a Delhi-based Vidya Coaching Centre, said a media report.

Earlier, Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia had ordered the Directorate of Education to investigate and lodge a complaint with the CBSE after he reportedly received a leaked copy of the Class XII Economics paper just few minutes before commencement of the examination.
