Cuttack: Orissa High Court on Friday granted additional seven days time to CBSE to provide photocopies of answer sheets to 159 students who had earlier moved court demanding re-evaluation after alleged discrepancies in the publication of the Class XII results.

The development came after the board had moved Court seeking additional time in providing the photocopies of answer sheets to the 159 students after its earlier deadline ended today.

Though CBSE authorities had sought another 15 days time, the Court directed the board to provide the photocopies to students by July 7.

Apart from the 159 students, the Court has allowed the petition of 30 more students seeking re-evaluation and photocopies of their answer sheets today.

The CBSE had on June 22 decided to extend the deadline for re-evaluation of answer sheets by a week after the Parents’ Association had met Union HRD Minister Prakash Javedkar at New Delhi.

After the intervention of Union HRD Minister, CBSE agreed to extend the deadline for re-evaluation by one week for 9,000 affected students.
