CBI raids renowned businessman for involvement in illegal RSP tender

Rourkela: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Tuesday raided the house and business establishments of Surendra Dua, a well known businessman of Rourkela, allegedly over his links with a scam in Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP).

The officials claimed, Surendra’s links with the former executive director of the Steel Plant BP Burma helped him pass a tender illegally. Suspecting him of amassing disproportionate assets, the CBI today raided Surendra’s business establishment, office and residence.

On January 7 earlier this year, the CBI had arrested Burma on the allegation of taking Rs one lakh bribe to pass a tender. It had also seized Rs 20 lakhs after conducting a raid at his residence.
