Carcass of baby elephant recovered from Odagaon forest

Odagaon(Nayagarh): The body of a baby elephant was found in Chemedi forest under Odagaon forest division of Nayagarh district on Thursday.

The carcass was later buried in the forest in presence of Nayagarh DFO, ACF and Odagaon ranger after a post mortem was conducted.

The forest department officials said, the baby elephant, expected to be five years old, died due to some health problem. They also stated the wild one was suffering from diarrhoea for the past few days which might have led to its death.
