Burla: Tension prevailed on VIMSAR campus after stones were pelted on the official residence of Director Dr Aswini Pujahari here last night.

It is alleged that Post Graduate students of the medical college were involved in the attack. Nearly 150 PG students arrived at the Director's residence at around 11.30 pm and tried to break open the door besides hurling abuses on him.

Meanwhile, police has been deployed outside the residence of Pujahari.

On the other hand, Pujahari said he will continue to work towards the betterment of the hospital and society and not be threatened with such attacks under any circumstances. The reforms to bring in a positive change in VIMSAR will continue as earlier.

Talking to OTV, Pujahari said, "All PG students have a leader and they follow his instructions, I suspect that there is a teacher who has instigated the students to take such a step. A police complaint will be lodged to maintain record but as they are my students I will personally talk with them and if they remain adamant, action will be taken against them."
