Bus torched by mob in Jharsuguda

Jharsuguda: Death of a motorcyclist, after being hit by a speeding bus, sparked off tension in Jogiadihi village under Kolabira Tehsil of Jharsuguda district on Friday evening.

The bus, which was on its way from Jharsuguda to Kulemura, hit the vehicle at Jogiadihi village square at around 5.30 pm, killing the motorcyclist on the spot. Irate over the incident, angry villagers later torched the bus.

Police and fire brigade personnel rushed to the spot immediately and doused the fire along with controlling the situation.
