Buffalo theft: Two persons detained by villagers rescued

Jeypore: The Jeypore police today rescued two persons allegedly detained by villagers for 10 days over 'buffalo theft' at Biriguda village under Bariguda police limits in Koraput district.

The duo was identified as Keshab Pangi of Ulabeda and Sania Bisoyi of Panasaput village in Malkangiri district.

As per reports, the villagers detained them while they were allegedly trying to escape with seven buffaloes from Bariguda to sell in the neighbouring state of Andhra Pradesh.

After being rescued from villagers, the duo has been arrested by police.
