Budhia Singh, mother return to Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar: Ending all speculation, boy wonder Budhia Singh and his mother Sukanti Singh returned to Bhubaneswar from Mumbai this evening.

Talking to waiting media persons at the Biju Patnaik International Airport here, Budhia’s mother said, “ My son won’t go back to the Sports Hostel.”

Budhia himself, however, contradicted his mother saying; “I will decide after discussing with my mother whether I will return to the Sports Hostel or not. I have not decided anything yet.”

Budhia said he and his mother had gone to Kodaikanal in Tamil Nadu and from there to Mumbai before returning to Bhubaneswar today. Asked who sponsored the trip, he said, “The producer of the movie took us for the tour.”

Notably, the ‘Budhia Singh: Born to Run’, a movie on the amazing story of Budhia, will hit theatres across the country on August 5.

After Budhia’s sudden ‘disappearance’ hogged the headlines, the Commissionerate police traced the mother-son duo to Kodaikanal. Following this, Budhia’s statement was recorded through the Kodaikanal police. Budhia said he was holidaying with his mother.
