‘Budhia Singh: Born To Run’ hits silver screen

Bhubaneswar: Manoj Bajpayee starrer “Budhia Singh – Born To Run” hit the screens across the country today.

Directed by Soumendra Padhi, “Budhia Singh – Born To Run” is a biopic about Budhia Singh, who ran an incredible 48 marathons — one of which was the 65-km distance between Puri to Bhubaneswar - even before he turned five.

Produced by Viacom18 Motion Pictures and Code Red Film Productions, the film stars Tillotama Shome and Master Mayur Patole in the role of Budhia.

In one of the songs in the biopic Odia phrases like ‘Suna Pua’, ‘Gelha Pua’, ‘Dhana Pua’ dot the sound track that buttresses its Odia roots, though the film is being produced in Hindi and in Bollywood. ‘India’s Raw Star’ winner Rituraj Mohanty has sung the song.

The song is picturised on Bajpayee, who is playing Budhia’s coach Biranchi Das and Mayur, the child star playing Budhia

Budhia and his mother are in New Delhi for promotion of the movie.
